Ciliatech are delighted to announce the appointment of Javier Rodríguez as International Surgical Trainer, joining the company on a full-time basis to support its expanding surgical education activities across Europe.
In his new role, Javier will provide surgical training for both new surgeons and new members of the commercial team, working alongside Ciliatech’s Global Surgical Training Consultant, Eleticia Szozda. He will also support the early commercial assessment of the Spanish market, leveraging his extensive glaucoma experience and strong professional network within the Spanish ophthalmic community.
Prior to joining Ciliatech, Javier gained more than 20 years of experiece in ophthalmology, holding senior commercial and training positions at Aquesys, Allergan and most recently ELIOS Vision, where he served as Head of Training & Development Europe. Earlier in his career, he worked as an optometrist and associate lecturer, developing a strong clinical and educational foundation.
Javier’s appointment further strengthens Ciliatech’s commitment to delivering high-quality surgeon training and clinical support while expanding the company’s commercial activities across Europe.
Javier officially joined Ciliatech on 21st April 2026.
