Ciliatech are delighted to announce the appointment of Serena Weinrich as Surgical Glaucoma Specialist, Southern Germany, joining the company’s commercial team in Germany and reporting to Gabriele Grubert.
In her new role, Serena will work closely with surgeons, hospitals and commercial partners across Southern Germany, providing clinical support while contributing to the continued growth of Ciliatech’s presence within the region. She officially began her journey with Ciliatech at the company’s Monoincision Training Event in London.
Prior to joining Ciliatech, Serena gained extensive clinical and commercial experience within ophthalmology. She spent two years as Territory Manager at Rayner Surgical before serving for almost six years as Head of the Operating Room at Augenzentrum Hildesheim-Alfeld, where she managed a high-volume ophthalmic operating theatre, trained and onboarded operating room staff, and provided direct surgical assistance during cataract, vitreoretinal, oculoplastic and glaucoma procedures.
Serena’s appointment further strengthens Ciliatech’s commitment to delivering outstanding clinical support and education to surgeons across Germany. Her extensive experience in both ophthalmic surgery and commercial account management will help strengthen partnerships with surgeons and healthcare professionals while supporting the continued growth of Ciliatech’s business across one of its key European markets.
Serena officially joined Ciliatech on 5th May 2026.
