Ciliatech are delighted to announce the appointment of Mandy Robinson as Senior Surgical Glaucoma Sales Specialist, UK & Ireland, joining the company to strengthen its commercial organisation and reporting directly to Sahil Syed, VP Sales & Marketing.
In her new role, Mandy will lead commercial activities across the UK and Ireland, support surgeons through clinical training and education, strengthen relationships with customers and key opinion leaders, and help drive the adoption of Ciliatech’s innovative glaucoma technologies throughout the region. Drawing on her extensive expertise in surgical ophthalmology and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), she will play a key role in supporting the successful commercialisation of the Intercil® Uveal Spacer.
Prior to joining Ciliatech, Mandy gained 20 years of experience in surgical ophthalmology, specialising in clinical training, premium intraocular lenses and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS). She spent 17 years at AMO/Johnson & Johnson, where she progressed through a series of increasingly specialised commercial and clinical roles before becoming a Refractive Implant Specialist focused on premium intraocular lens technologies. Most recently, she spent 3 years at Alcon as Surgical Glaucoma Specialist, where she received multiple industry recognitions, including Surgical Glaucoma Specialist of the Year, European Glaucoma Growth Champion and the prestigious Alcon President’s Club Sales Excellence Award. During her time at Alcon, she also became the company’s first Advanced Certified Surgical Glaucoma Trainer (ACT) within the European field sales organisation.
Mandy’s appointment further strengthens Ciliatech’s commercial presence across the UK and Ireland and reinforces the company’s commitment to delivering outstanding surgical education and support to glaucoma surgeons. Her extensive clinical training expertise and proven commercial success will play an important role in supporting the continued adoption of Intercil® and driving Ciliatech’s growth across one of its key strategic markets.
Mandy officially joined Ciliatech on 12th January 2026.
