Ciliatech is pleased to announce the publication of 24-month clinical data for INTERCIL® in Ophthalmology and Therapy.
The publication, titled “A Prospective Evaluation of the 2-Year Efficacy and Safety of INTERCIL®: A Uveal Spacer for Open-Angle Glaucoma,” reports outcomes from the SAFARI 3 study evaluating our glaucoma implant, the INTERCIL® Uveal Spacer, in patients with primary open-angle glaucoma.
At 24 months, the study reported:
• Mean IOP reduction of 39%
• Mean medication reduction of 83%
• 73.7% of patients medication-free
• Complete and qualified success rates of 74% and 95%, respectively
The publication represents an important milestone for INTERCIL® and provides peer-reviewed clinical data evaluating its 24-month safety and efficacy in open-angle glaucoma.
